How to Support the Milton Public Library

The Milton Library Foundation works to enhance the financial strength of the Milton Pubic Library through fundraising for projects outside of the normal scope of the Town library budget. These projects allow the Milton Library to bridge the gap from being a good library to being a great library. Equally important, the Milton Library Foundation is building up an endowment fund that will provide ongoing financial strength to bridge any periodic financial challenges.

There are a number of ways for you to help.

Give Today

Annual Fund

Gifts to the Annual Fund are an indication of our residents’ pride in our outstanding library and each gift, of any size, has enormous impact on our library and its staff. These unrestricted gifts are directed toward the areas of greatest need within the library and are spent in conjunction with recommendations from the Library Director and/or Library Trustees.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts

A Memorial Gift to the library is a meaningful and lasting way to remember a loved one. A Tribute Gift is a thoughtful way to celebrate a birthday, honor a graduate, or commemorate and anniversary. Our donation forms (online or paper) have information on how to designate for Memorial or Tribute Gifts.

Bequests and Other Planned Gifts

Including the Milton Library Foundation in your estate planning is a meaningful way to make a lasting contribution to the Library while taking advantage of federal and state tax laws. At the heart of planned giving is the ordinary will. Leaving a bequest is like planting a tree today so that others can enjoy its shade tomorrow.

Please contact milton.library.foundation@gmail.com for a meeting to learn more about how your bequest can help the library’s future.

Corporate Support

The Milton Public Library seeks long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between the business and institutional community and the library. These unrestricted, current-use funds will provide critical funds necessary to bridge the gap between our community’s aspirations for the library and available town resources.

Please contact (foundation e-mail) for a meeting to discuss your interest in working with the library.
